Meet Kevin and Rachel! They are the perfect example of young and in love… and here is the story about how I ended up photographing them in Florence, Italy…

I first met Rachel in a local online photographers group. I was selling a camera strap and she bought it. Little did I know our paths would cross again in such a unexpected way…. Fast forward a few months and I am planning a trip to Italy for my husband and I (more posts to come on that very soon!) I decided that I should book a photo session for us since we had not had professional photos taken since our wedding two years prior. After looking up some local photographers in the area, I decided to post in a national group to see if any photographers happened to be traveling at the same time as me and if they wanted to swap photo sessions. Much to my surprise, out of the thousands of people in the group, Rachel responded! She and her husband, Kevin, would be in Italy the same time as us! I was shocked and so excited! We decided to meet up in my favorite city, Florence, to take a few photos of one another.

We met up in the afternoon and had a little mini photo session. Rachel took photos of my husband and me near my old apartment and then we headed over to the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio to take a few of her and Kevin. After, we grabbed gelato and I couldn’t resist taking a few of them with their ice cream cones! All in all it was a fantastic way to spend the afternoon, and I couldn’t be happier to have made new friends in Rachel & Kevin! We both had fantastic trips and I hope they will cherish these photos forever!
