Chris and Allison had a beautiful, classy wedding at one of Pittsburgh’s best upscale wedding reception venues, The Omni William Penn Hotel. It was planned to perfection and everything looked stunning, especially the bride! But do you want to know what stood out more than anything at their wedding? The bride and grooms amazing attitude and exuberant joy! Seriously, these two faced some challenges with their wedding and they took it all in stride with smiles on their faces. All they could care about was marrying one another and I never saw them without smiles on their faces!

On the morning of their wedding I woke up to an email from the groom simply stating that I needed to meet the bride at another salon because her original salon had burnt down the day before… yes, you read that right burnt down. My heart sank and I thought poor Allison must be so stressed over this last minute issue. As I drove through intense rain to the new salon, I readied myself to console Allison and assure her everything would be fine, but instead, when I arrived, I found her laughing and smiling! She had not a single worry and was just enjoying her wedding day. This my friends, this is how you do your wedding day right! I swear, it was Allison’s amazing attitude that set the scene for the day, because let me tell you, not another rain drop fell and the rest of the day ran flawlessly! I was able to capture some beautiful bridal photos around downtown Pittsburgh at Mellon Square and Mellon Green Park, and Allison even became a celebrity and made the six o’clock news- check it out here!

The reception did not disappoint either! Allison put together a perfectly styled ballroom complete with the most amazing cake and cookie table I have ever seen! After a delicious dinner, the two had one heck of a dance party and even had a few furry wedding crashers from Anthrocon! Before I left, I had to pull them away for a few last minute portraits in the hotel, which they rocked!

All in all it was an amazing, unforgettable wedding, but to me, the best part of it all was the way Chris and Allison looked at each other all day. I never saw them without huge smiles in their faces or laughing with one another. They enjoyed every minute of their wedding day, just as I know they will enjoy their lives together. And after all, that is what this is all about… joining two people who are so in love, together in marriage, forever.
