I am so excited to be sharing images from Brook & Drew’s Old Economy Village Wedding!
I first met Brooke when she was a bridesmaid in another wedding that I was photographing. So when she and Drew got engaged and reached out to me to shoot their wedding I was so happy! During their engagement session, they told me about their ceremony space, Old Economy Village, and how pretty it was. They noted how excited they were to get married in a historic space, as they are both history buffs, especially Drew who reenacts civil war battles. So needles to say, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day to see this awesome place they described. And let me tell you, they were not kidding! Old Economy Village is MAGICAL! With multiple beautiful historic buildings complete with vines crawling up the side, a stunning pond with amazing sculptures, and rows and rows of beautiful flowers in every color, there is no shortage of natural beauty here. Then, throw in a stunning bride and a handsome groom, and I could have spent all day, heck, all summer here!
While the ceremony was amazing, the best part of the day was the overwhelming feeling of love that surrounded the couple. From the blue skys, which Brooke noted were heaven sent from her grandmother up above, to the touching speech the matron of honor, Lauren, gave, you just felt the outpouring of love from their guests. And the love between the bride and groom? Well, could these two be any cuter? From the minute Drew saw Brooke he was holding back the tears, and she was beaming with a huge smile to see her groom. After a emotional ceremony where the officiant invited everyone to bless the couple, these two were all smiles and kisses. They laughed and joked and just enjoyed every minute together. It made my heart full of happiness knowing that this is how their life will be, full of smiles, laughter, and love.
We followed the beautiful Old Economy Village wedding ceremony with one heck of a party at Pittsburgh Marriott North. I have shot a few Pittsburgh Marriott North wedding receptions and they are always a lot of fun. DJ Andy Booth kept the music going, and Brooke and Drew spent the night on the dance floor! Their party was so awesome that the bride from the reception in the neighboring ballroom even came over for a dance!
All in all it was a picture perfect Pittsburgh wedding for Drew & Brooke and I was beyond honored to capture their wedding day! Congrats you two!!
And to any brides and grooms out there looking for a beautiful outdoor wedding location in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I cannot recommend an Old Economy Village Wedding enough! Check out these romantic Pittsburgh wedding photos to see what I mean!
