My "Why"

Outside of my passion for wanting to create beautiful heirloom portraits for my clients, I am driven by my family. For me, family is everything. I have a wonderful husband, two adorable children, and a few fur babies. Not to mention the best moms in the world, a tight knit extended family, and ride or die friends that round out my crew.

Quitting my 9 to 5, I knew I wanted to build a life that allowed me to enjoy every moment with my family. I wanted to be able to soak in the early baby and toddler years as a mom, say yes to trips and not worry about PTO, and be able to show up for those I love when they needed me, no questions asked. After a few years of the extreme hustle culture (ugh.) my hard work paid off and I have found balance and truly created a life and career I LOVE. I am literally living my dream.

So yes, I will swap #momlife stories with you, explain in amazement that my husband creates every prop my mind can come up with, and take mental notes about your favorite vacation spot or restaurant so I can add it to my list of places to visit. You will most likely see photos of my kids on my socials, and may even meet my mom assisting me at a session. Family is woven into every part of my business, and when you work with me, you are part of the fam. So, Welcome! I'm so happy you joined us!

My Journey

I have always been an artist. I was the kid who went to sea world and begged for the oil pastel set instead of a whale stuffed animal, the teen who secretly hoped the kids she was babysitting for wanted to color, and the adult who gave up the job most people thought of as secure to chase this crazy dream of living my passion.

My love for photography started in 11th grade. from the moment I saw that first image magically appear in the darkroom, I was hooked. I took multiple photography classes through out high school and college, and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in art education. I taught art at a junior/senior high school for five years before moving on to turn my passion into a new career. In the years leading up to starting this business, I trained under some of the top photographers in the area, so I could really master my skills. To this day, I still put an emphasis on education so that i can always bring my clients top quality work.

I love watching my business grow and change and can't wait to see where this journey takes me next!

When you look back at a great photo, you are transported. You remember how you felt in that moment, the sights, the sounds, the company you kept. One image can help you remember an entire chapter of your life and lead you on a journey to remember small details about that time that you have since forgotten. Photographs can bring joy, laughter, healing, and at times, tears. They are so powerful.

So, when you step in front of my camera, it is my hope that I can capture who you really are in that moment. Freeze time forever, so that you, and the generations that follow you, can look back fondly at what was. Saying yes to a photo session is saying yes to creating a legacy, saying yes to preserving your precious memories, and saying yes to surrounding yourself with the beauty of what is most important in your life.

Photography is about more than just the images... this is about the feelings and the memories.
